The Anzisha Prize is of Africa’s most prestigious awards to encourage youth entrepreneurship. Every year, Anzisha offers more than USD 140,000 in combined prize funding and business support to exceptional young African startup founders.
About the Anzisha Prize
Anzisha is a multi-year venture-building fellowship targeting entrepreneurs between 15 and 22 years old. Rather than rewarding ideas alone, the program supports real, existing ventures with demonstrated traction.
Over the fellowship duration, participants receive:
- cash stipends tied to milestone achievement
- access to short courses, coaching, and tailored technical support
- exposure to a network of mentors and peer entrepreneurs
At the end of year two, fellows pitch their progress and compete for prizes in four categories: Job Creation, Revenue Growth, Storytelling, and Integrating Systems & Processes.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Anzisha Prize 2025, you must meet all the following:
- Be aged between 15 to 22 with a valid ID or passport (to serve as evidence)
- Be a citizen of an African country, established a startup based in Africa for African customers/beneficiaries
- Be a founding member or co-founder of the enterprise
- You can’t apply with just a business idea, your startup must be up and running.
- Your Business can be in any sector including, tech, agribusiness, creative industries, sports, science and more.
Application Timeline & Details
- Applications Deadline: November 7, 2025
- A cohort of ~35 finalists will be selected and enter the multi-year fellowship
- At the end of year two, finalists pitch for their share of USD 50,000 in prize funding across the four categories
The final prize pool (including ongoing support, stipends, and awards) totals upwards of USD 140,000.
