In line with the implementation Of the Export Expansion facility under the Federal Government’s National Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP); which incorporated the revival and launching Of the Export Development Fund (EDF) as incentive to boost export; the Nigerian Export Promotion Council is embarking in the implementation of one of its mandate of developing and promoting Non-Oil Exports through the provision of the Export Development Fund.

Export Expansion Facility Programme (EEFP), The EEFP is a scheme under the Nigerian Economic Sustainability Plan of the Federal Government of Nigeria and managed by the National Export Promotion Council.

Though Government will spend an estimated N2.3 trillion to fund the National Economic Sustainability Plan, the Export Expansion Facility programme will focus on driving economic growth through exports.

The Facility is targeted at providing support to exporters particularly Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs).

The EDF was set up to provide technical and operational capacity to indigenous firms especially Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs) in form of grants to expand local content and value addition to raw materials before exporting overseas. The Scheme is also designed to provide assistance in the form of reimbursable grants to Nigerian companies or entities that intend to carry out formal export of Goods and Services from Nigeria.
