The Network of Youth for Sustainable Initiative (NGYouthSDGs), supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Germany in Nigeria, invites young Nigerian climate innovators to apply for the Sustainable Innovation Lab (SIL). This program is designed to help participants develop, refine, and scale their climate action solutions, contributing to Nigeria’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
Program Highlights:
- Coaching and Mentorship: Receive personalized guidance from experienced climate action leaders to enhance your projects.
- Funding Opportunities: Top participants can win seed funding up to ₦2,000,000 to expand their initiatives.
- Skill Development: Engage in training sessions focused on project scaling, resource mobilization, and climate innovation.
- Networking: Join a vibrant community of young innovators, mentors, and climate leaders dedicated to building a sustainable Nigeria.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nigerian residents aged 18 to 35.
- Demonstrated experience in climate action projects, particularly in adaptation, mitigation, or renewable energy, aligning with Nigeria’s NAP and NDCs.
- Projects must be at the prototype stage or beyond; ideation-stage projects are not eligible.
- Willingness to participate in virtual coaching sessions.
- Encouragement for female applicants and persons with disabilities to ensure diverse representation.
Application Deadline: Tuesday, 31st December 2024.
Program Duration: 6 weeks, conducted virtually, with potential in-person events if applicable.
