CAC Reduces the Cost of Business Name Registration by 50%

On the 2nd of October 2018, the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria announced on their website a 50% per cent reduction in business name registration and the reduction is for a limited time only.

This reduction is to help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to formalize their businesses and the reduction is only valid from 1st October to 31st December, 2018.

So if you have been wanting to register your business with CAC but finding it difficult due to lack of fund, this is an opportunity for you to take advantage and get your business name registered with CAC.

Kindly note that the reduction only valid for those registering a business name/enterprise and for limited liability and others.

REDUCTION OF COST OF BUSINESS NAMES REGISTRATION BY 50%

In an effort to deepen the benefits of its reform initiatives, the Corporate Affairs Commission has reduced the cost of Registration of Business Names from N10,000 to N5,000 after the Name Reservation of N500, with effect from the 1st October to 31stDecember, 2018.

The Business Incentive Strategy is aimed at creating a window for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to formalize their businesses, which will enable them own corporate account with Banks, have access to Loans, grants and other government interventions.

Members of the public are enjoined to take advantage of this window, to register their Business Names at the reduced cost of N5,000 after the Name Reservation of N500.
