The 2023 Global Investigative Journalism Conference is offering 150 fellowships to journalists from developing countries and other disenfranchised places around the world. If you are journalist from a developing country, you are eligible to apply, but understand that there is high competition and you must prove to be good enough in order to be given a fellowship.

Eligibility Criteria

Fellowship Requirement

After the conference, fellows are obliged to either write an article specifically on #GIJC23 or provide a presentation to your peers or the larger media community based on the knowledge you learned at #GIJC23.

Since the majority of conference panels and workshops will be held in English, you’ll require a basic understanding of the language. Your fellowship application must be submitted in English.

GIJC23 Fellowship Includes

NOTE: The fellowship does not include a per diem, visa fees, or transport to and from your home country airport. This is a training conference, and fellows are expected to pay for these costs.
