JAMB 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Results is Out!

The 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results have been released by  Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). JAMB released the results this afternoon (03/05/2013) exactly 7days from Saturday 27th May, 2013 examination date.

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, announced this at a news conference on the release of the results in Bwari, FCT, on Friday.

About 12,110 results were withheld for possible disciplinary action.

According to JAMB registrar, “after thorough processing of answer scripts of the candidates who sat for the examination, the board discovered some forms of malpractice perpetuated during the conduct of the examination”


“However, the results of 68,309 candidates from various centres are undergoing further screening to ascertain the culpability of 12,110 candidates’ results.“

Out of the total of 1,629,102 candidates who applied to sit for the Paper Pencil Test (PPT) and 15,008 candidates applied for the Dual Based Test, bringing the number of candidates  to 1,644,110, only 1,596,136 sat for the exam as about 47,974 was absent.

“The general performance of candidates in this year’s examination shows remarkable improvement compared with last year.”

“Ten candidates scored 300 marks and above, while 127,017 candidates scored between 1-159 marks.

“About 40,692 candidates’ results were invalid due to either multiple shading or no shading at all.  After processing all the results, the board also discovered that about 47,974 candidates were absent.”



If you sat for the May 27, UTME exam, you can check your result by login to www.myjambresult.com using your registration number.

Please beware of fraudsters telling you that your result can be upgraded in one form or the other. That is not correct.

Please note that you can change your institutions of choice within two weeks of releasing the results.


Ojerinde also said the Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place from May 18 to June 1 and appealed to candidates to reprint their e-registration slips afresh to further ascertain their CBT centres.
