Applications are now open for the 2025 Mo Ibrahim Fellowship Program . It is an initiative of Mo Ibrahim Foundation and aim at supporting and developing the future leaders of Africa. It is a 12-month programme designed to support the professional development of future African leaders. Every year, the Fellowship invites emerging leaders from across Africa to apply and join the program,

With the 2025 cohort, you now have an opportunity to acquire professional development and mentorship in order to contribute your quota to the continent’s development.

Fellows are hosted at the following institutions: the African Development Bank, the International Trade Centre and the United Economic Commission for Africa. Each of these institutions will host one individual

Eligibility criteria

National of an African country

Minimum 7 years’ of relevant work experience

Master’s degree

Under the age of 40, or 45 for women with children

Application process

Applications for the 2025 cohort of Mo Ibrahim Fellowship Program are now open, the deadline for applications is November 2024.

Fellowships are open to young professionals, mid-career and new executives from Africa with relevant work experience and a master’s degree.
