The NESCAFÉ One Song is an annual competition that is organized by NESCAFE to create ONE powerful SONG that will inspire the African continent and they desire to achieve this by working with musicians from six West African countries and one song will be selected from each country with a $3,000 prize for each winning artists.
Artists from West African Countries namely, Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D Ivoire, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Cameroon from the age of 18 and above are eligible for the competition and they must also be citizens.
How To Participate
Interested Artist will be required to create and submit their own original lyrical content using the NESCAFÉ one song instrumental. The participating musicians must also do a video recording of their song and use the hashtags #NESCAFEOneSong2 and #NESCAFEOneSong2(Insert name of country). The songs will be sent through NESCAFE official Facebook and Instagram accounts in the countries.
Shortlisting Process
Five songs will be shortlisted from each of the six countries for a chance to enter into the final stage of the competition and the shortlisting panel is made of the NESCAFE team, Producer and previous year winners.
The winning songs will be selected based on popular vote though the official One Song 2 website. The overall prize winners will be selected according to songs with highest number of votes from each of the six countries.
Prize
There will be a cash prize of Three Thousand United States Dollars (US$3,000.00 ) given to the overall winners and they will be awarded in their respective countries using the local currency equivalents.
The overall winning songs will be further composed into 1 inspiring and anthemic tune for the NESCAFÉ One Song.
