The Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd (NIGCOMSAT) has officially opened applications for its 2026 Accelerator Programme – Cohort 3.0, aimed at propelling Nigerian startups into the space-technology and satellite communications ecosystem.
What It’s About
This accelerator is built to support early‐stage ventures that are leveraging satellite data, IoT, remote sensing, artificial intelligence and related technologies to solve real-world problems in Nigeria and beyond.
Founders will gain access to technical mentorship, business strategy sessions, networking with investors and the chance to refine prototypes into market-ready solutions.
Sector Focus
Startups working in any of the following are encouraged to apply:
- Agriculture, food-security, remote sensing
- Health-tech & telemedicine
- Climate-change, environmental monitoring
- Telecommunications & connectivity
- Logistics & supply-chain optimisation
- Artificial Intelligence & robotics
- Satellite and space-based solutions
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this programme you must:
- Be a legally registered Nigerian company (with CAC registration)
- Have at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or functional prototype
- Demonstrate scalability and innovation in your business model
- Maintain an active website or digital presence
- Submit a one-minute video showcasing the product/solution
