The SparkUp Initiative is a transformative capacity-building program designed to strengthen women-led organizations by equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to succeed in fundraising.
This global initiative supports women-led organizations across all sectors—whether you’re working in education, health, gender equity, environmental justice, economic empowerment, policy advocacy, indigenous rights, or any other field.
Program Overview
Through this initiative, you will:
- Learn how to develop a strong fundraising strategy tailored to their organization
- Build and refine impactful projects and fundraising plans
- Gain practical skills in grant writing for international foundations and public institutions
- Explore innovative approaches to crowdfunding and digital fundraising
- Receive personalized mentorship and engage in peer learning with other fellows
- Become part of a supportive, collaborative community of women leaders
This program is ideal for women-led organizations that are ready to grow their impact and strengthen their ability to access international funding.
Eligibility Criteria
The SparkUp Initiative is open to:
- Women-led NGOs or grassroots organizations from developing countries in Asia, Africa, and smaller European countries
- Organizations from any sector or thematic area
- Both newly formed and well-established organizations are encouraged to apply
Fellowship Structure
- Duration: 2 months of support
- Format:
- Online group sessions (interactive and participatory)
- One-on-one mentorship with fundraising experts
- Peer learning and exchange among fellows

- Completed application form
- A one-page concept note describing a project or fundraising idea
- A current CV
- A signed letter confirming that the applicant holds a leadership role in the organization
