This standard poultry farming business plan is developed to help smart poultry entrepreneurs who cannot afford high fees for consultants to develop poultry business plans.
As of 2021, the Nigerian poultry industry is estimated at ₦200 billion ($484 million) and is comprised of approximately 200 million birds. These birds produced around 1 million metric tonnes of eggs and 400,000 metric tonnes of poultry meat in 2021; since 2014, the industry has continued to grow.
From a market size perspective, Nigeria remains the largest egg producer in Africa, followed by South Africa, which produces approximately 700,000 metric tonnes of eggs. Nigeria also maintains the 2nd largest chicken population on the continent, after South Africa’s 250 million birds.
As of 2021, Nigeria consumes approximately 2.4 million metric tonnes of frozen chicken annually. The locally produced chicken was estimated at 600,000 metric tonnes (MT) in 2021, reflecting a capacity utilisation of 60 percent in an industry with a current installed capacity of 1 million MT. In the same year, 1.8 million metric tonnes of frozen chicken, valued at ₦1.2 trillion (equivalent to $2.9 billion), were imported.
Looking at these statistics, it shows that the demand for poultry products is so high that we are unable to meet it locally. With the ban on the importation of poultry products into the country, a huge market has been created for smart entrepreneurs to tap into.
Due to popular demand from young and aspiring entrepreneurs that have been seriously looking for funds and were asked to submit a business plan, I have decided to create a standard poultry farming business plan that covers the rearing and selling of chickens, eggs, and poultry waste/fertiliser.
The poultry business plan that can be presented to any investor, for a bank loan, or for a grant comes with the following:
The complete poultry farming business plan is in Word Doc format, and the financial analysis is in Excel so that you can edit it to suit your tastes.

WHAT CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
I want to say a big thank you for the business plan you sent. The plan is rich and detailed and professionally developed as explained on your web page. In fact, the plan is worth more than the price. I have gone through the financial template and I have made some changes to suit my needs and will present it to my banker next. Am I going to present it together with the financial template or should I only present the business plan?

Can I also send it to you to help me review the financials before I submit it?
