As one of the updates to the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme, Tony Elumelu Foundation has extended the deadline for the applications into the 2020 cycle of TEF Entrepreneurship Programme
The new deadline is now March 31, 2020. Initial it was March 1, 2020.
The extension will afford more entrepreneurs the opportunity to undergo the first critical stage of the Programme – the business training.
African entrepreneurs with new business ideas or existing businesses in any sector of the economy are eligible to apply.

Also, following on the trails of TEF Partner Organisations such as UNDP, ICRC, The Government of Botswana, Benin, US Consulate and others, the African Development Bank (AfDB ) has disbursed the first tranch of seed capital to the 1,000 2019 TEF Entrepreneurship Programme beneficiaries sponsored by AfDB. The $2.5million released is 50% of the seed funding expected, with the second half to be disbursed later in Q1, 2020. Each entrepreneur receives a total of $5,000 to validate their business ideas.
With the training and mentorship received earlier in the Programme, we are confident that these young African entrepreneurs are ready to build and scale their businesses to create more jobs on the continent and impact more lives.
