Access Bank Womenpreneur Pitch-A-ton Africa 2022 for women entrepreneurs across Africa (5 million Grant & a mini MBA)

The Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa initiative is intended to empower female-owned enterprises in Africa with access to capital, world-class business training, and mentorship opportunities. This programme was created to provide a supportive atmosphere for female entrepreneurs to expand their firms.

The Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton programme, which debuted in 2019, is the industry’s first women-in-business support initiative of its sort, provided by Access Bank’s W Initiative. In its first round, the programme gave free mini-MBA certification to 50 female entrepreneurs in Nigeria, as well as financial incentives totaling N9 million to the top five candidates. It did it in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC, a member of the World Bank Group).

Following that, the programme was expanded to eleven more African nations where Access Bank’s W project is present. Since then, the initiative has offered mini-MBAs to 200 African women entrepreneurs. This year marks the program’s fourth season, with the goal of providing mini-MBA certification to another 100 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria, as well as awards totaling more than N16 million Naira to WSMEs.

Eligibility Requirements:

Women aged 18-55yrs old who are;
a. Resident in Nigeria,
b. Own and manage their own business in Nigeria
c. With businesses registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission

Prizes:

• First prize is N5 million naira
• Second prize is N4 million naira
• Third prize is N3 million naira
• Fourth prize is N2 million naira
• Fifth prize is N1 million naira
• Sixth Prize is N750,000 naira
• Seventh Prize is N500,000
• 20 applicants will also receive consolation prizes such as free online advertisement and free website development
  i. The top 100 applicants will receive a 12 weeks mini MBA training from the International Finance Corporation.
