Many African nonprofits and social enterprises are doing remarkable work, yet attracting reliable funding remains one of their biggest challenges. The Africa Fundraising Incubator Program (AFI) 2026 was created to change that.

Instead of simply awarding grants, the programme teaches organizations how to build lasting fundraising systems, engage local supporters, and reduce dependence on donor funding. Participants also have the opportunity to receive up to $5,000 in matching grants and earn a fully funded trip to Kigali, Rwanda, for an advanced leadership boot camp.

What Is the Africa Fundraising Incubator?

The Africa Fundraising Incubator (AFI) is a flagship initiative of the New Africa Fund (NAF). Previously known as the Africa Impact Fundraising Grant, the programme helps African organizations strengthen their fundraising capacity through practical training and hands-on experience.
