Ask any small business owner in Nigeria what their biggest bottleneck is, and they will likely give you a two-part answer: the high cost of buying machinery and the lack of structured business training. Getting your hands on the equipment you need to scale usually means draining your lean operating capital.
If you are currently trapped in this cycle, the Biodun and Ibikunle Foundation is offering a practical way out. Applications are officially open for the SEEDINVEST Acceleration Program 2026, a targeted initiative built to help nano, micro, and small enterprises across Nigeria stabilize and scale.
Program Features
This isn’t just a competition; it’s a structured growth ecosystem. Shortlisted entrepreneurs will go through an intensive 6-week online acceleration period that blends high-level theory with execution. The program includes:
- Virtual Masterclasses: Deep dives into financial literacy, operational structure, and growth marketing.
- Business Development Support: Guided training to fix the structural gaps in your everyday business operations.
- Mentorship & Advisory: Direct access to seasoned entrepreneurs who have built successful local businesses and understand the unique hurdles of the Nigerian market.

Eligibility Criteria
The foundation is highly specific about who they want in this cohort. To ensure your application gets processed, you must satisfy the following prerequisites:
- Age Limit: The founder or applicant must be between 22 and 45 years old.
- Legal Standing: Your business must be fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and possess a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN).
- Traction: Your business must have been actively operational for a minimum of one (1) year and have a verifiable business address.
- Financials & Documentation: You must have a dedicated business bank account with a commercial bank and upload a 5-year business plan alongside your application.
- Compliance: Where applicable, you must provide product certifications from relevant regulatory bodies (like NAFDAC or SON).
Program Benefits
The SEEDINVEST program tackles the two core needs of MSMEs simultaneously—knowledge and physical capacity:
- ₦5 Million Asset Grant Pool: This is the most critical detail—the foundation does not hand out cash. Instead, successful finalists receive equity-free asset grants in the form of actual business equipment and machinery to directly boost production capacity.
- Elite Mentorship: Free, direct advisory support from industry veterans to help you avoid common operational mistakes.
- Peer Networking: The chance to collaborate and build strategic partnerships with fellow forward-thinking Nigerian entrepreneurs within the cohort.

Deadline and Application Process
The application window is fully digital, and you cannot apply offline. Because you need to upload heavy compliance documents like your CAC certificate, bank statements, and a 5-year business plan, it is best to start your application immediately.
- Application Deadline: July 24, 2026
To get started, head over to the official Biodun and Ibikunle Foundation portal (biodunandibikunle.org), locate the SEEDINVEST 2026 application form, and fill out your business metrics accurately.
