DMZ’s Women Innovation Summit 2025 For Women in Tech ($100K Cash Prizes)

The DMZ at Toronto Metropolitan University is set to host its third annual Women Innovation Summit on March 6, 2025, in downtown Toronto. This event celebrates women entrepreneurs and innovators, providing them with opportunities to showcase their ventures, connect with industry leaders, and gain recognition for their contributions to the tech sector.

Key Highlights:

• Pitch Competition: Women founders across Canada are invited to apply for the chance to pitch their businesses to angel investors from The Firehood, with up to $100,000 in cash investments available. Applications are open until January 19, 2025.
• Women of the Year Awards: Nominations are open for exceptional women making significant impacts in tech. Honourees will be announced during the Summit. Nominations close on January 19, 2025.
• Event Activities: The Summit will feature high-stakes pitches, milestone moments, and unfiltered conversations led by trailblazing founders and industry leaders. Event registration opens in early 2025.

Nomination Details:

• Pitch Competition Application: Interested founders should submit an application, including a 3-minute pitch video and a pitch deck, by January 19, 2025. Finalists will be notified by the week of February 3, 2025, and must be available to pitch in person on March 6, 2025.
• Women of the Year Nomination: Nominees must identify as a woman, be based in Canada, and be working in a tech-based role or supporting tech-enabled initiatives. Self-nominations are welcome.

The Firehood is a national network dedicated to advancing women in technology. For the third consecutive year, they are partnering with DMZ, committing $100,000 in cash investments for the Women Innovation Pitch Competition.
