Climate Resilience Awards for Business

Climate Resilience Awards for Business 2026

The Climate Resilience Awards for Business 2026 recognise companies that are taking practical steps to prepare for climate change while protecting their operations, employees, customers, and communities. As extreme weather, water shortages, and supply chain disruptions become more common, businesses are investing in solutions that help them adapt. These awards were created to celebrate those efforts and encourage more organisations to turn climate resilience into action.

Launched by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the Global Resilience Partnership (GRP), the awards return for a second edition after a successful launch in 2025. They aim to highlight businesses whose projects deliver measurable results and can inspire others around the world.

What Is the Award About?

Unlike competitions that focus on business ideas, the Climate Resilience Awards recognise projects that have already been implemented and are making a difference.

Businesses can submit entries in one of four categories:

  • Building Climate-Proof Infrastructure
  • Promoting Water Stewardship
  • Safeguarding Agriculture and Food Systems
  • Protecting People First

Winning organisations will gain international recognition, have their work showcased through global case studies, and join a growing network of businesses leading climate adaptation efforts.

Who Can Apply?

The awards are open to businesses of all sizes, sectors, and countries.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Companies implementing climate resilience or adaptation projects within their operations or supply chains.
  • Businesses providing products, services, technology, finance, or advisory solutions that help clients become more resilient to climate change.

Small and medium-sized enterprises are assessed separately from large companies, giving businesses of different sizes a fair opportunity to compete.

What Will Participants Gain?

Although there is no cash prize, the awards offer significant value for businesses looking to strengthen their reputation.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Global recognition from leading international organisations.
  • Increased visibility for their climate resilience projects.
  • Independent evaluation by an expert judging panel.
  • Opportunities to showcase successful case studies.
  • Access to a global network of sustainability and resilience professionals.
  • Greater credibility with investors, partners, and stakeholders.

For businesses working on sustainability, this recognition can help attract partnerships and demonstrate a strong commitment to climate resilience.
