Microsoft Imagine Cup Startup Competition 2026 for student founders ($150k prize)

The Microsoft Imagine Cup Student Startup Competition 2026 challenges students to build innovative tech solutions that address real-world problems.

The program has two distinct paths tailored to meet you where you are:

  1. Launch Path: For early-stage teams with a prototype or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) still validating market fit.
  2. Scale Path: For more established student-led startups with early traction, users, or seed capital (up to $5 million USD in combined external funding).

Regardless of your path, your solution must leverage Microsoft AI services and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. This competition is about more than code—it’s about building technology that matters
