Tadamon Food Security Accelerator Program 2025 for CSOs ($40k Grants)

The Tadamon Food Security Accelerator Program, funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is now accepting applications for its 2025 cohort. This initiative aims to empower Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in addressing food security challenges through innovative solutions, particularly in conflict-affected regions.

Program Overview:

  • Duration: 11-week intensive online training.
  • Structure: The program is divided into two phases:
    • Phase 1: 100 CSOs will be selected to participate in the initial module focusing on Business Model Development.
    • Phase 2: Based on evaluations, 55 CSOs will advance to access additional modules covering Impact, Project Development and Management, Finance and Fundraising, and a thematic focus on Food Security. Ultimately, 50 CSOs will be awarded grants of up to $40,000, with a total funding pool of $850,000.

Thematic Tracks:

Applicants should align their project proposals with one of the following areas:

  1. Climate Smart Agriculture: Innovative approaches to sustainable farming that enhance productivity and resilience to climate change.
  2. Tech for Food, Energy, and Water Access and Utilization: Technological solutions that improve access to essential resources, promoting food security and efficient resource management.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Organization Type: NGOs, associations, social enterprises, INGOs, foundations, cooperatives, community-based organizations, or civil society networks.
  • Geographical Focus: Registered and operating in one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Chad, Djibouti, Libya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, the State of Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, or Yemen. INGOs registered in other Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries can apply in partnership with local CSOs from the targeted nations.
  • Language Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in written and spoken English, as the program will be conducted in English.
  • Relevance: Proposals must align with the Accelerator’s thematic areas and aim to enhance food security in the specified countries, focusing on improving access and sustainability for vulnerable communities through innovation.
