African Fashion FundLab Fellowship Program

African Fashion FundLab Fellowship Program 2026 for Fashion Entrepreneurs

The African Fashion FundLab Fellowship Program 2026 is a fully funded, non-tuition business development program designed for established fashion entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Organized by the Oak Nation Entrepreneurial (ONE) Foundation in strategic collaboration with Obsidian Advisory Africa, the program aims to transition fashion designers away from speculative operations toward formalized, investment-ready business models.

Program Features

This isn’t a boring theoretical lecture series; it’s an intensive, boots-on-the-ground business transformation lab. The program cuts straight to the economics of design through a highly practical execution structure:

  • The Intensive Bootcamp: A 4-day, deep-dive physical fellowship held live in Lagos, Nigeria. You will go through hands-on workshops, interactive case studies, and live simulated investor Q&A sessions.
  • Core Tracks: The curriculum focuses strictly on three pillars: Business Strategy & Modelling (structuring real revenue), Funding & Investor Readiness (mapping out capital tracks), and Accounting & Legal Foundations (cleaning up compliance).
  • Post-Fellowship Advisory: Once the physical bootcamp ends, you aren’t left on your own. Selected fellows transition into an exclusive 3-month virtual post-fellowship mentorship window to ensure you actually execute your new business roadmaps.

Eligibility Criteria

Because the organizers are covering all tuition costs, the selection process is highly competitive. Your brand qualifies if you meet these exact requirements:

  • You must own an officially registered fashion enterprise (clothing, footwear, accessories, or textile design).
  • Your business must have a proven track record, actively operating in the market for at least three (3) full years.
  • You must be fully available to travel to and attend the physical training sessions in person in Lagos.
  • Note: The cohort is intentionally kept small—only fifteen (15) elite fashion entrepreneurs will be selected for this run.

Program Benefits

Securing one of the 15 slots in this fellowship gives your creative label massive corporate leverage:

  • Zero Tuition Cost: The entire fellowship, hands-on training materials, and mentorship frameworks are 100% fully funded.
  • Expert-Led Training: Direct, unfiltered guidance from fashion business veterans and financial consultants who understand the local market landscape.
  • Investor-Ready Status: Hands-on assistance to build a clean accounting foundation and an operational pitch deck that venture capitalists will take seriously.
  • Official Certification: A formal certificate of participation to boost your brand’s corporate profile and funding credibility.

Deadline and Application Process

The application window is fully digital, and with only 15 spots up for grabs, early submission is your biggest competitive advantage.

  • Application Deadline: Monday, July 24, 2026 (at 11:59 PM WAT)
  • Format: Physical bootcamp (Lagos) + 3 months virtual mentorship.

To apply, head over to the official Oak Nation Entrepreneurial Foundation portal, navigate to the African Fashion FundLab dashboard, and fill out the official application form. Be completely transparent about your current operational bottlenecks and revenue metrics to stand out to the jury panel. Don’t wait until the final midnight rush!
