Who Can Apply
The programme is open to a wide range of Nigerians who need digital devices for learning, work, or business. The application portal accepts expressions of interest from people in the following categories:
Students at any level of education who need devices for coursework, digital skill development, or productivity. Employed Nigerians in both formal and informal sectors who want to improve their digital capabilities or productivity. Self-employed individuals and entrepreneurs who use digital tools for business operations, client communication, content creation, or online sales. Freelancers including graphic designers, developers, digital marketers, writers, video editors, and anyone whose work requires a reliable device and internet access. Job seekers actively pursuing employment in digital and technology fields. NYSC corps members currently serving or preparing to enter their service year.
Applicants are asked to indicate whether they are affiliated with any recognised digital talent programmes. The portal currently lists the following programmes: 3MTT (Three Million Technical Talent), Andela Learning Community, ALX Africa, HNG Internship, AltSchool Africa, Learn2Earn, and Genesys Tech Hub.
It is important to note that as of the time of this post, CREDICORP has officially confirmed only 3MTT fellows for the first batch of device beneficiaries. The initial rollout of 1,000 locally assembled laptops is prioritising 3MTT participants, with 77 beneficiaries in Abuja already having received their devices at the launch ceremony. The remaining devices will be distributed to other states in phases. Other digital programme participants are listed on the portal and can register their interest, but are not yet confirmed for the current batch.
How the Application Works
The application process is straightforward and entirely online. Applicants visit the official C.L.I.C.K.D. portal and complete a registration form that captures the following information: state of residence, employment status, digital talent programme affiliation, preferred device type, intended use of the device, and consent for CREDICORP to assess eligibility for consumer credit.
Providing monthly income is optional on the form. The process is designed to be accessible without requiring extensive financial documentation at the expression of interest stage.
Fidelity Bank is the credit administration partner for the programme, and E-Finance Company is the participating financial institution handling disbursements. Credlock is providing the technology infrastructure for the scheme.
What Has Not Been Announced Yet
As of the date of this post, CREDICORP has not published the specific interest rates, repayment periods, or down payment requirements that will apply when a beneficiary is approved for a device.
