Prince Casper Foundation Impact Grants for Nigerian educators

Prince Casper Foundation Impact Grants 2026-2027: ₦6 Million for Nigerian Educators

If you teach in a Nigerian school, run one, or lead an education project in a community that gets little support, there is ₦6 million waiting to be shared. The Prince Casper Foundation will award it to 26 grantees, in amounts ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000.

It is not a huge pot, but it is enough to buy textbooks, set up a small computer corner or train your teachers. If you have a clear plan, it is worth an afternoon of your time.

About the Programme

The Impact Grants are run by the Prince Casper Foundation for the 2026-2027 cycle. They target people working in Nigeria’s primary and secondary education who need funding to improve teaching or learning.

Applications opened on September 21, 2026. Projects should not start before January 2027.

Benefits

The ₦6 million is split across three tiers. You cannot pick your tier, because the selection committee decides based on scope, cost, need and relevance.

  • Trailblazer Grant: ₦500,000 each for 7 projects meant to drive sustainable change.
  • Catalyst Grant: ₦200,000 each for 6 promising initiatives that can grow.
  • Launchpad Grant: ₦100,000 each for 13 early-stage ideas moving into action.

Because you cannot choose a tier, build a budget that still makes sense if you get the smallest amount.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You work in Nigeria’s primary or secondary education sector.
  • You contribute directly to children’s or young people’s learning outcomes.
  • You serve rural, underserved or educationally disadvantaged communities.
  • You can show genuine financial need that limits your ability to improve teaching or learning.
  • Eligible roles include classroom teachers, school heads, administrators, education programme staff, NGO workers and education volunteers.
  • You must pick two of four focus areas: Learning Access, Digital Innovation, Educator Excellence, or Inclusive Empowerment.

Documents Needed to Apply

  • A Letter of Intent of 500 to 750 words covering the challenge, your solution and expected impact.
  • A CV in PDF format with a recent photograph.
  • An itemised project budget.
  • A referee who can speak about your work.
  • Optional: photos, quotations, certificates and evidence of past projects.

The itemised budget is where many applicants lose points. If you run your project through an NGO or school company and want it properly registered, our business registration service can help you sort that out.
